Ziva Emtiyaz, B.A., is an award-winning dance artist who has traveled across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America to share her passion as an instructor, performer, and choreographer. Ziva was a finalist on Cheeky Girl's Productions competition reality show "Project Belly Dance" leading to the 2013 release of her debut instructional DVD "Powerhouse Percussion". Ziva's appreciation for diversity, culture, and life inspires her to promote human connection through movement and music and ultimately ignite the dancer in everyone.

Ziva, M.A., is an award-winning dance artist who has traveled across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America to share her passion as an instructor, performer, and choreographer.
Raised in a home with an eclectic infatuation for music, Ziva’s appreciation for diversity, culture, and life inspired training in both Western and International dance forms.
In 2012, Ziva became a competition finalist on the reality show “Project Belly Dance.” This led to the 2013 release of her debut instructional DVD “Powerhouse Percussion.” You can also find Ziva on Souhail Kaspar’s “Rhythm and Movement for Raqs Al-Sharqi” DVD.
Ziva gained a wide variety of experience teaching multiple years at highly acclaimed dance camps such as Middle Eastern Music and Dance Camp, Stockton Folk Dance Camp, and Folklore Camp. In June of 2014, Ziva performed as a soloist in the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. Ziva shined as a choreographer and dance program director for Hipline Studio in Oakland prior to her 2014 move to Southern California where she danced weekly with the award-winning Sahlala Dance Company in Los Angeles and taught ballroom dance at Bella Ballroom in Newport Beach. Ziva also enjoyed teaching International Dance for a LAUSD Middle School where she shared dance with 7th and 8th graders as part of physical education and arts program.
Ziva holds a M.A. in Teaching, a B.A. in Spanish, and an A.A. in Health, Fitness, and Nutrition. She currently resides in the Bay Area and can be found on her social medium forums sharing dance. She looks forward to connecting through dance in person again once the pandemic passes.
